(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $38.6 million for the month of October 2015. This figure is down 3.0% compared to $39.7 million in October of 2014. Handle for the month was $482.5 million, up 1.1% from the $477.2 million wagered in the same month in 2014.

Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in October 2015 is $10 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to over $3.8 billion.

October at Foxwoods featured a jam-packed entertainment slate, beginning with Jake Owen and Kristian Bush treating fans at The Grand Theater to a night of sensational country music. The Grand Theater also played host to two of rock 'n' roll’s most legendary figures, Mark Knopfler and Ringo Starr. Mark L. Walberg hosted Let’s Make a Deal Live! and thrilled guests with his inimitable live game show experience. Star comedians Martin Lawrence and Patton Oswalt brought their unparalleled stand-up routines to the property, while EDM fixture Steve Aoki closed out October hosting Wicked Halloween at Shrine nightclub.

To celebrate Oktoberfest, Foxwoods restaurants offered delicious, German-inspired food and drink specials all month long. In observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Tanger Outlets raised awareness and funds for disease research through its Pink Style retail program, with proceeds benefiting local breast cancer charities.

Capping off an exciting month, Rosemary Carey of East Greenwich, Rhode Island drove away from Foxwoods in a brand new 2016 Mercedes CLS400 after winning the Mercedes Invitational Sweepstakes.

This November, Foxwoods welcomes the return of The SUPERNATURALISTS, Criss Angel’s team of mind-bending magicians and illusionists. Also debuting this month: World-renowned tribute show Legends in Concert will grace the stage of the Fox Theater for its six-week residency, and 10th year at Foxwoods. The Grand Ballroom will host Major League Eating’s World Turkey-Eating Championship where global eating champion Joey “Jaws” Chestnut will look to defend his title among a field of the world’s eating elite. To top it all off, Foxwoods will open up its beautiful outdoor skating rink just in time for the holiday season.
