Foxwoods reports October slot revenue17 November 2014MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino today reported slot revenue of $39.7 million for the month of October 2014. This figure is down 5.6 percent compared to $42.1 million in October of 2013. Handle for the month was $477.2 million, down .7 percent from the $480.7 million wagered in the same month in 2013. Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund this month is $10.2 million bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to nearly $3.7 billion. October was an exciting month for guests of Foxwoods Resort Casino with the biggest and brightest acts coming through the property’s legendary Fox Theater, spectacular Grand Theater, and intimate Comix Comedy Club, including the Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp featuring The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots and Steven Wright. The excitement continues in November when The Temptations Revue takes over the Fox Theater on November 19, followed by A Special Evening with Patti LaBelle on November 21 in the Grand Theater and comedian Sean O’Connor in Comix at Foxwoods on November 28-29. November also begins Foxwoods’ Stuff The Bus holiday giving campaign to benefit the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and its Tommy Toy Fund. In addition, Foxwoods ramps up the festive holiday season with a special holiday engagement of Legends in Concert, the pioneer of live tribute shows, from November 28 through January 3, 2015. This unique holiday show features an all-star lineup of the ‘best of the best’ of tribute artists including Elvis, Michael Jackson, The Blues Brothers, Madonna and Whitney Houston all performing their signature hits and holiday favorites. Known for the hot live band, outstanding choreography, dazzling singers and dancers and of course bright and beautiful sets, the holiday celebration promises to be captivating.
