Foxwoods reports November slot revenue15 December 2014MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino today reported slot revenue of $38.1 million for the month of November 2014. This figure is down 13.2 percent compared to $43.9 million in November of 2013. Handle for the month was $468 million, down 8.2 percent from the $510 million wagered in the same month in 2013. Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund this month is $9.8 million bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to nearly $3.7 billion. November was an exciting month for guests of Foxwoods Resort Casino with the biggest and brightest acts coming through the property’s legendary Fox Theater, spectacular Grand Theater, and intimate Comix Comedy Club, including Melissa Etheridge, String Cheese Incident, Carrot Top, Harry Connick, Jr., and three amazing shows with Criss Angel MINDFREAK, who completed the Houdini Death Escape at Foxwoods. In addition, guests witnessed Joey “Jaws” Chestnut, the number-one-ranked eater in the world, and other top Major League Eaters, devouring 20-pound turkeys during the Foxwoods World Turkey-Eating Championship. The excitement continues in December with a special holiday engagement of Legends in Concert, the pioneer of live tribute shows, in the Fox Theater, featuring an all-star lineup of the ‘best of the best’ of tribute artists including Elvis, Michael Jackson, The Blues Brothers, Madonna and Whitney Houston all performing their signature hits and holiday favorites. Foxwoods also celebrates the holidays in December with four “Christmas at Foxwoods” shows featuring Donny & Marie Osmond in the Grand Theater on December 23, 27 & 28. In addition, December features The Texas Tenors (December 11) in the Fox Theater, and Lisa Lampanelli (December 12), Jim Gaffigan (December 13) and Marc Anthony (December 19 & 20) in the Grand Theater.
