Foxwoods reports May 2015 slot revenue15 June 2015MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $43.2 million for the month of May 2015. This figure is down 1.2 percent compared to $43.7 million in May of 2014. Handle for the month was $532 million, down 1.8 percent from the $542 million wagered in the same month in 2014. Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in May 2015 is $11.3 million bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to nearly $3.8 billion. May was an exciting month for guests of Foxwoods Resort Casino as the property opened the spectacular new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods on May 21st with an official ribbon cutting hosted by Drew and Jonathan from the hit show, Property Brothers. Festivities included personal styling sessions with a People StyleWatch fashion editor, a design workshop with the Property Brothers, an Instagram Tech Lounge, as well as special savings and giveaways. With more than 80 branded and designer outlet retailers, including Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Coach, Michael Kors, Steve Madden, Tommy Hilfiger and many more, the new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods is transforming the face of retail in southeastern Connecticut and offering loyal Foxwoods guests more reasons to play and stay when visiting the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. In addition, the grand opening of the new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods featured the incredible aerialist and daredevil Nik Wallenda who attempted a breathtaking 711-foot high-wire tightrope walk from the fifth level of Foxwoods’ Rainmaker Garage to the rooftop of its new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods. And to commemorate this daring achievement, for every foot Nik Wallenda walked along the tightrope, Foxwoods donated $5,055.21 worth of clothes from the new Tanger Outlets to the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. The excitement continues in June with more spectacular events in the legendary Fox Theater, spectacular Grand Theater, and intimate Comix Comedy Club. This includes the latest creation by world-renowned illusionist Criss Angel called The SUPERNATURALISTS, featuring 9 mind-blowing magicians that destroy reality and revolutionize the live magic ensemble experience. Premiering June 25, 2015 in the legendary Fox Theater, The SUPERNATURALISTS will launch a four-week run at Foxwoods, before continuing on as a national and world tour.
