Foxwoods reports July slot revenue

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $42.8 million for the month of July 2018. This figure is down 4.9% compared to $45 million in July of 2017. Handle for the month was $534.4 million, down 6.7% from the $572.5 million wagered in the same month in 2017.

Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has infused over $4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue into the Connecticut state economy through the Mashantucket Pequot Fund, supporting much-needed programs and services throughout Connecticut. Foxwoods’ contribution to the state in July 2018 is $10.9 million.

Foxwoods kicked off July with two major gaming initiatives: the $1,000,000 Slot Tournament and the Deal of a Lifetime Blackjack Tournament. Back at Foxwoods, guests were able to get behind the wheel themselves thanks to the addition of Heritage e-Racing Simulators to the Great Cedar concourse. Using cutting-edge motion technology and real-time feedback, the Heritage e-Racing Simulators give players an authentic and exciting racing experience from the comfort of a sleek Sports Carbon bucket racing seat.

The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic returned to Foxwoods this past month with celebrity guests Ice Cube, Smokey Robinson, George Lopez, Chris Tucker and more! At the annual All-Star Comedy Explosion, Kay Kay Alexis from Nashua, New Hampshire was declared the winner of the Hand Me the Mic singing contest and awarded a $10,000 prize.

Guests are invited to experience the “aggressively laid back” atmosphere at the newly opened Stony Creek Brewery at Foxwoods. With an award-winning beer selection, two floors, 7,100 square feet and seating for over three hundred guests, Stony Creek Brewery is a paradise for craft brew lovers and an oasis for Foxwoods guests looking to relax and enjoy delicious food and drink. Foxwoods’ August entertainment slate is star-studded thanks to appearances at the state-of-the-art Grand Theater from comedy legend Larry the Cable Guy, country icon Toby Keith and R&B sensation Miguel. The fun continues with the world premiere of Cirque Éloize Hotel, which runs from 22 August to 2 September in the Fox Theater.
