Foxwoods reports another $50 Million slot revenue month

14 September 2012

MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino® today reported August 2012 slot revenue of $50.5 million on handle of $592.5 million. The revenue figure represents a 3.3 percent decline compared to the same month a year ago; handle was off 6.3 percent from August of 2011.

“Our August results demonstrate a trend toward market stabilization,” said Foxwoods CEO Scott C. Butera, “as our slot revenue steadies to within a narrow range of $50 million a month.”

Foxwoods contributed $12.8 million to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in August 2012, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state of Connecticut since the Resort Casino opened in 1992 to more than $3.40 billion.

Foxwoods continues its strong Fall line-up of top entertainment including LeeAnn Rimes, Howie Mandel, Craig Ferguson, Heart, John Legend and more. October will feature Extraordinary Eats, a month long culinary series featuring celebrity chef dinners hosted by Tom Colicchio, Jacques Pepin, David Burke and others. There will be wine, beer and spirit tastings and dining specials across the property’s restaurants.
