Foxwoods Casino reports March slot revenue15 April 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $40.1 million for the month of March 2019. This figure is down 8% compared to $43.6 million in March of 2018. Handle for the month was $489.4 million, down 5.2% from the $516.4 million wagered in the same month in 2018. Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has infused over $4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue into the Connecticut state economy through the Mashantucket Pequot Fund, supporting much-needed programs and services throughout Connecticut. Foxwoods’ contribution to the state in March 2019 is $10 million. Foxwoods Rewards members were feeling lucky this March thanks to the Shamrock Spin to Win hot seat promotion. Casinogoers were invited to play their favorite slot or table game, and 30 winners were awarded the chance to spin the Shamrock wheel to win up to $1,000 in cash prizes. The festivities continued with “Get Shamrocked,” Foxwoods’ fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl, considered one of the best places to be for St. Paddy's Day outside the Emerald Isle. Guests enjoyed a fun-filled day of drink specials and discounts on food at nine locations throughout the property and were automatically entered to win great prizes including Foxwoods show tickets and more. Last month’s entertainment lineup included A-list acts including Grammy Award-winning music legend John Fogerty, alt-rock icons Weezer, America's Got Talent Season 12 winner Darci Lynne and many more. Foxwoods helped guests get off to a winning start in April kicking off their partnership with the three-time World Champion David Ortiz with his Big Papi’s Favorite Things promotion! Guests who played their favorite slot, table games, etc. were entered to win prizes from $500 in bonus slot play to the grand prize trip for two to the Dominican Republic. Foxwoods kept the winning going with their Tax Day Hot Seat promotion. Foxwoods Rewards Members were invited to opt in while actively playing any slot machine or table game. One lucky winner was selected in the “hot seat” every 30 minutes and won $1,040, and players to the left and right of the selected winner won $100 in bonus slot play.
