Four Winds Casino construction reaches milestone

NEW BUFFALO, New York – As reported by the Dowagiac Daily News: "The final structural beam on the new Four Winds Casino Resort will be signed and set into place on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

"The Dowagiac-based Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and Lakes Entertainment Inc. will commemorate the steel completion of Four Winds Casino Resort with a 'signing of the steel' ceremony at 11 a.m.

"The signatures will become a permanent part of the casino as the beam is hoisted.

"'By signing this beam, we are marking the progress of Four Winds Casino in anticipation of its completion late next year,' said Chairman John Miller.

"…The ceremony will include the Tribal Elders Council of the Pokagon Band, representatives of Lakes Entertainment and members of the construction team, Christman Kraus-Anderson…"
