Four Share South Korea's Largest Lottery Jackpot10 March 2003SOUTH KOREA – As reported by the Joong Ang Daily: "Four unidentified winners won 9.3 billion won ($7.6 million) each in a lottery jackpot Saturday, the largest ever in Korea. "Kookmin Bank, which operates the lottery on behalf of the government, said yesterday that the four persons picked all six numbers. "…The previous record award was 6.5 billion won in a lottery game in January. The odds of hitting the Lotto jackpot were one out of 8.1 million, Kookmin said. |
