Former teamster president sentenced for illegal gambling

INDIANA – As reported by the Indianapolis Star: "A federal judge sent a former state Teamsters union president back to prison for two years, saying he violated probation by continuing to run a video gambling ring after his release -- and likely before.

"…John Neal, 69, of Yorktown, still faces trial on 71 felony counts including professional gambling, promoting professional gambling, money laundering and corrupt business influence. He was arrested Sept. 18 amid raids on 23 taverns in Madison, Delaware and Henry counties..."
