Former parish priest jailed for 60 days17 August 2011ROSELLE, Illinois -- A gambling addict priest will serve 60 days in jail for stealing almost $300,000 from his parish church, accoring to The Chicago Tribune. The priest, Fr. John Regan, 47, admitted wrongdoing and has been suspended from public priesthood, the report said. His sentence also includes 500 hours of community service, 150 day work-release sentence and a 40 day sheriff work program, the Chicago Tribune report said. |
