Former cop appointed to New Jersey gambling board

NEW JERSEY -- A retire New Jersey State Police Lt. Col. Gayle Cameron has been appointed to the New Jersey Gambling Commission, according to a Boston Herald report.

The commission is due to administer decisions on four licenses, three for casinos and one for a slots parlour, the report said.

This appointment gives the panel three members of what will be a five member panel, the Boston Herald noted.
