Former Casino Owners Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion14 September 2005FLORIDA – As reported by the Myrtle Sun News: "Former Stardancer Casino owner Samuel A. Gray Sr. pleaded not guilty Monday in federal court in Florence to charges that he failed to pay $1.1 million in taxes. "Gray posted $100,000 unsecured bond and was released on condition that he surrender his passport and restrict his travels to South Carolina, Georgia and northern Florida. "Gray operated the Stardancer Casino out of Little River along with gambling cruises in Florida. "A federal indictment of Gray and his wife, Marilyn D. Gray, alleges that in 2001 and 2002 they collected federal income, Social Security and Medicare taxes from employees but did not pay the government…" |
