Football boss having more luck with the horses

9 April 2010

AINTREE, England -- His football team Manchester United may have booted from the Champions League, but Alex Ferguson's fortune was different at the races, according to The Guardian

His co-owned racehorse What A Friend won the Totesport Bowl Chase on the first day of the Grand National, The Guardian said.

Irish Jockey Ruby Walsh rode What a Friend to the finishing line, the report said.

Ferguson admitted the win was a special one and said in The Guardian report that racing was a stress reliever from his day job.
