Fond du Lac Band ordered to pay $10.3M to Duluth9 October 2013DULUTH -- Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will have to pay $10.3 million to the city of Duluth, according to a Duluth News Tribune report. The court ruling came after the tribe ceased paying the city towards the end of 2009 and covers the period until April 2011, the report said. It's estimated the tribe may owe the city up to $12.6 million based on profit-sharing agreements that were in place until 2011, the Duluth News Tribune reported. |
