Florida tribe, companies end litigation18 April 2007HOLLYWOOD, Florida – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Seminole Tribe of Florida, Power Plant Entertainment, LLC and The Cordish Company have announced the signing of a formal settlement agreement, ending all litigation between the parties. The agreement calls for the Tribe to dismiss with prejudice its case pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (Case No. 06-60827-CIV-Zlock/Snow); and The Cordish Company and Power Plant Entertainment, LLC to dismiss with prejudice its suit versus Hard Rock Cafe International (USA), Inc., Hamish Dodds and Seminole Hard Rock Entertainment, Inc. pending in the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit, in and for Broward County Florida(Case No. 06-21416 (25)). "We are pleased we were able to reach an amicable settlement," stated Mitchell Cypress, Chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. "The Cordish Company was selected as the Tribe's development and financial advisor because of its unique background in creating entertainment destinations. The two Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos developed in Tampa and Hollywood, Florida with its assistance have been huge successes for the Tribe. Each has become the dominant entertainment project in their respective cities."
