Florida House committee kills gambling deal

15 January 2010

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- A Florida House committee voted 17-0 to reject a proposed revenue-sharing proposal with the Seminole Tribe, according to the Orlando Sun Sentinel.

The vote essentially kills any chance of the measure, which is backed by Gov. Charlie Crist, passing the House.

The move could also be a preclude to the National Indian Gaming Commission shutting down blackjack games at three Seminole casinos, according to the article.
