Florida: Gaming bills to be filed this week17 October 2011TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- This week gaming bills are likely to be filed by Rep. Erik Fresen, R-Miami, and state Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, according to a report in the Miami Herald. The gaming bills seek to permit three large casinos-resorts and establish an independent gambling commission for Florida, the Miami Herald said. Strong regulation is a priority in the eyes of the bill proponents, they want a regulatory system in Florida that is akin to those in Nevada and New Jersey, the report noted. |
