Florida: Expanded gambling bill stalls3 February 2012FLORIDA -- Expanded gambling plans were stalled today when a House of Representatives committee chose to delay voting on an expanded gambling bill, Bloomberg reported. This move reduces the chances that a bill could be approved this year, the report said. Genting hopes to build a resort-casino in Miami and has purchased 30 acres of land in anticipation of expanded gambling being approved, Bloomberg said. |
