Florida: Casino bill bets on mega-resorts

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Two bills that will be filed today would see a shift away from racetracks to destination resorts, according to the Miami Herald.

The bills are being introduced by two politicans under the mantra of creating gaming that produces revenue, the report explained.

There's speculation this could signal the demise or reduction of the pari-mutual and casino-racino industry, The Miami Herald noted.
