Flak for McCain over his historic online gambling stance

6 September 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C -- John McCain is getting an earful from online gaming supporters over his audacious playing of poker on his iphone at recent Senate hearing coupled with his historic lack of support for online gambling legislation, the Daily Caller reported.

Historically McCain supported criminalizing online gambling, the report said.

He supported the 1998 Internet Gambling Amendment and the SAFE Port Act of 2006, both of which targeted and criminalized internet gambling activities, the Daily Caller reported.

McCain was photographed by the Washington Post playing poker on his iphone during the recent Senate hearing on military intervention in Syria, it was reported earlier this week.
