Five to Stand Trial for Casino Brawl

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian: "Five people have been committed to stand trial and banned from the Crown casino complex over a brawl during birthday celebrations for accused underworld murderer Victor Brincat.

"A surveillance video played at Melbourne Magistrates' Court earlier this week showed the fight escalating outside Crown's Heat nightclub before spilling down an escalator and into a foyer.

"…Visible on the edge of the fight was accused drug dealer Carl Williams, who was arrested this week over an alleged murder conspiracy.

"Brincat, 43, of Southbank, has been committed to stand trial on charges of assault and affray over the fight.

"Three others people charged over the fracas – Jim Frengos, 32, of Glenroy, Peter Mai, 22, of Sunshine West and Michelle Mercieca, 36, of St Albans – were committed today for trial on affray and assault charges…"
