Five Charged in Illegal Bookmaking Operation

ILLINOIS – As reported by the NBC News: "Four men and a woman have been charged with operating a sports bookmaking operation that grossed more than $3 million in about three years.

"Joseph Pascucci, 71, of Wheeling and Demetri Stavropoulos, 36, of Oak Brook, also face three counts of income tax violations for failing to report income from the gambling operation.

"Also charged Tuesday were 46-year-old Joseph Sims of Porter, Ind., 50-year-old Michael Gratace of Berwyn, and 44-year-old Cynthia Holst of McHenry…"
