Five Card Mulligan Poker breezy fun

20 November 2007

Poker can be a tense, action-filled game with players agonizing over every decision. Or it can be a nice, breezy walk in the park. The latter is definitely the case of Super Slots Casino's Five Card Mulligan Poker.

Five Card Mulligan Poker is a fairly simple 5-card stud game in which the player is trying to beat the house. Before the cards are dealt, the player has to make a mandatory ante bet and an optional bonus bet. Each bet has a separate pay table. And the better the hand, the more you win.

Five cards are then dealt to both the dealer (face down) and the player (face up). The player acts first and has the option of keeping his hand -- thinking it will beat the dealer's poker hand -- or taking a mulligan. If the player takes a mulligan, he loses his bonus bet (if he made one) and adds a raise bet equal to the orginal ante to the pot.

Then his orginal hand is discarded and five fresh cards are dealt. After the player completes playing, then the dealer acts. If the dealer has a King high or less, he gets to take his one mulligan. If he has any hand better than King high, he has to keep it. For the ante and raise bets, the best hand wins. Bonus bets are paid automatically, regardless of who wins.
