First Pennsylvania Gaming Board Member Named21 July 2004HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "The first of seven members of the state's new Gaming Control Board was named today by House Speaker John Perzel, R-Philadelphia. "He chose Joseph W. 'Chip' Marshall III, a Philadelphia businessman and former chairman of the state Ethics Commission. "…Marshall will join six other board members, still to be named, on the powerful new commission that will award 14 slot machine licenses around the state. One will be for a slots casino at The Meadows racetrack in Washington County and another will be for a stand-alone slots parlor somewhere in Pittsburgh…" |
