FireKeepers Casino owners want proposal for 8 more casinos rejected8 June 2012BATTLE CREEK, Michigan -- The owners of the Firekeepers Casino are among a group of casino operators who want a proposal that could see eight new casinos rejected, Michigan Live reported. Under the proposal the casinos would be "developer-owned" and changes would be made to the Michigan Constitution which is principally what the casino operators object to, the report explained. The group also cited concerns around the impact on the gaming market, the level of input communities would have into the location of the casinos and the amount of revenue those communities would see come back to them, Michigan Live reported. |
