Filippa Wallestam appointed Non-Executive Director at Racecourse Media Group25 March 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Filippa Wallestam has been appointed Non-Executive Director of Racecourse Media Group, the leading global media rights organization for 37 British racecourse shareholders. She joins on 1 April 2026. Wallestam brings to RMG an extensive knowledge and experience in digital media strategy. She spent nine years at Viaplay, the leading entertainment provider in the Nordic region, where she held various roles, including EVP and Chief Content Officer, EVP and CEO of Sweden, and Head of Strategy for Free-TV and Radio. Wallestam, who holds other non-executive roles with DMGT Group (owner of the Daily Mail, among others) and Storytel, said: "I am excited to join the RMG Board at this pivotal time and am inspired by the company’s ambition to maximize opportunities for the sport of horse racing. As a horse lover, the most exciting aspect for me is the chance to drive innovation and technology to attract and engage new audiences in this dynamic sport.
