Fiji will pursue casino licence fine

18 February 2015

SUVA, Fiji -- The fine that resulted from the cancellation of a casino license will be pursued by the Fijian government, the Marianas Variety reported.

A licence had been issued to One Hundred Sands in 2011 but the company did not complete the project, the report said.

A fine was levied for each month the company failed to complete the casino, amounting to a now outstanding sum of $1 million, Marianas Variety said.
