Fantasy Springs Rock Yard will roll into fall with added Friday night shows2 August 2013INDIO, Calif. (PRESS RELEASE) -– No matter how sultry the weather is, the crowds just keep packing into Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. The free Saturday music venue is so popular, in fact, that three Friday night shows have been added to the mix. The 2013 season started in April and will run through the end of October. Rock Yard offers the country’s best tribute bands along with the most accomplished cover bands in Southern California. The groups are on stage back to back for four and a half hours of live music. Audiences of more than 3,000 have enjoyed the venue where a different $3 drink special is featured every weekend. Rock Yard runs from 7:30 p.m. to midnight and is always free and open to anyone ages 18 and older. The schedule is as follows: Aug. 2: Mr. Crowley (Ozzy Osbourne Tribute) w/ Hunter & Dirty Jacks Aug. 3: Rick James (Dyck James Tribute) w/ Pandora’s Rock Aug. 10: You Got Lucky (Tom Petty Tribute) w/ Rocktane Aug. 17: Which Ones Pink (Pink Floyd Tribute) w/ Red Ball Jets Aug. 24: Motley Inc. (Motley Crue Tribute) w/ Steel Imagination Aug. 31: Purple Reign (Prince Tribute) w/ Helicopter Sept. 7: Hollywood U2 (U2 Tribute) w/ World Tour Sept. 14: Queen Nation (Queen Tribute) w/ Rok of Ages Sept. 20: Core (Stone Temple Pilots Tribute) w/ Playground Sept. 21: Led ZepAgain (Led Zeppelin Tribute) w/ Thank You Drive Thru Sept. 28: Escape (Journey Tribute) w/ Judge Jackson Oct. 5: Damage Inc.
