Fantasy Springs' Rock Yard offers tribute weekend

INDIO, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -– The Rock Yard, the desert's premier, no-cover, outdoor concert venue presents a weekend of tributes featuring the music of guitarist Jimi Hendrix as the tribute band, Stone Free Experience performs, Friday, July 25th and The Cured's tribute to the English New Wave group, The Cure takes the Rock Yard stage on Saturday, July 26th.

Based out of Los Angeles, the members of Stone Free Experience play with the same passion and performance as the original Jimi Hendrix Experience. Fronted by guitar virtuoso, Dani Robyns, Stone Free Experience includes bassist Phil Gibson and drummer Mark Morrow. The band has toured constantly, playing at conventions, clubs and tribute events around the country. The group presents a fantastic show with classic era costumes and a set list that includes "Foxey Lady", "Stone Free" and "Fire". Fans of Stone Free Experience flock to their shows to marvel at the presentation and the "note for note" artistic renditions of the Hendrix catalog. Sharing the Rock Yard stage on Friday, July 25th will be Rock Yard veterans, Room 179. The music kicks off at 9pm.

The 80's were a time of change in rock music, giving birth to the Punk and New Wave movements. The members of the tribute band, The Cured have taken their devotion to Robert Smith and the Cure and perform a show that takes you back to the glory days of the 80's. Based in Southern California, The Cured formed in 2005. Made up of 5 brilliant musicians including front man, Zippy Twombly, The Cured has found a following among the rabid fans of THE CURE from coast to coast. Their set list includes their classic hits, "Why Can't I Be You", "Love Cats", "Just Like Heaven" and "Let's Go To Bed." Let The Cured satisfy your hunger for sounds of THE CURE. Opening the show on Saturday, July 26th will be Rock Yard standouts, "New Breed." Showtime is 9pm.
