Fantasy Springs joins national No Kid Hungry campaign

5 September 2012

INDIO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- More than 16 million American children go hungry every day. This September, POM restaurant in Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support Share Our Strength’s, No Kid Hungry campaign. September 16-22, 5% of sales at POM restaurant will be donated to the No Kid Hungry campaign.

Fantasy Springs Executive Chef Freddy Rieger says, “This campaign is so very important because in this day and age no child should go hungry. I am proud to work for an organization that continually looks for ways to give back to our country and the community in which we do business.”

Now in its fifth year, Dine Out for No Kid Hungry has raised more than $4 million for the campaign. Funds are used to bring awareness to child hunger in the U.S., create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need, support school breakfast and after-school meal programs, and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
