Fall/winter entertainment line-up announced for Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

DOVER, Delaware -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Crown Royal Poker Room hosts the popular $25,000 Guarantee No Limit Hold’em on Saturday, Oct. 18 beginning at 11:15 a.m. with a buy-in of $199. The poker room is proud to feature a Toys for Tots Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11:15 a.m. for a $45 buy-in and featuring a $10,000 tournament bad beat jackpot. The guarantee is $1,500, and any player who donates a new toy will receive 5,000 bonus chips.

A Harvest Hold’em Weekend is scheduled with several tournaments for players. On Friday, Nov. 21, a $15,000 guarantee tournament begins at 1:15 p.m. with a $165 buy-in. On Saturday, Nov. 22, the poker room tournament is a $30,000 guarantee with a $225 buy-in. And on Sunday, Nov. 23, a $5,000 guarantee tournament begins at 11:15 a.m. with a $45 buy-in. The famous Village People will appear on Friday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. in the Rollins Center. Expect to hear their top hits, “Young Man,” “YMCA,” “In The Navy,” “Macho Man” and many more. Tickets are $25-$45 and doors open at 8 p.m.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra brings “The Return of The Dance Era” to the Rollins Center on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. The special performance will include an open dance floor. Tickets are $12.50 - $17.50 and doors open at 6 p.m.

The 9th Annual Chocolate & Holiday Festival will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Rollins Center. The event is packed with chocolate vendors, all sorts of gift items, and an afternoon of holiday choral, music and dance performances. Only $5 at the door for guests 18 or older.

Dover Symphony Orchestra presents a holiday family concert, “Ringing in the Holiday Season,” on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. in the Rollins Center. Tickets are $15 and $20 and may be purchased at DoverSymphony.org or 302-270-1903.

Legendary, multiplatinum selling jazz saxophonist Kenny G will perform a holiday concert on Friday, Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. Audiences will be treated to a special performance of Kenny G’s hits as well as holiday tunes from the incomparable artist. Tickets for the show are priced $35 to $75; doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m.

Marlon and Shawn Wayans start off 2015 with a hilarious, live stand-up comedy routine on Friday, Jan. 23 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $35-$65.
