Experts to Examine East Coast Gaming Market

29 March 2006

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Regulators, casino operators and state representatives will analyze the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic East Coast gaming market on a special panel at the 10th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress, May 22-23 at the House of Blues here.

Joining the panel "East Coast: The Competitive Landscape" are Commissioner Mary DiGiacomo Colins of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board; Delaware Park Chief Operating Officer William Fasy; Florida State Representative Ron Greenstein; Delaware North Cos. Gaming & Entertainment President Ronald Sultemeier; and New Jersey Assemblyman James Whelan.

The $11 billion East Coast gaming market is in a period of continual expansion, from the recently launched slot machines in Maine, to the planned commencement of slots at Florida parimutuels, to the pending introduction of slots in Pennsylvania. In addition, Maryland, Massachusetts and Rhode Island are debating whether to legalize or expand casino-style gaming.

"The legalization or presence of gaming in one state invariably leads to calls for a response in neighboring states," said panel moderator Joseph Weinert, Managing Editor of Gaming Industry Observer. "These experts will examine public policy, operational challenges, regulatory issues and the critical market dynamics."

The East Coast Gaming Congress has established itself as an industry showcase, annually attracting 500 industry-related professionals nationwide.

The Congress' signature event is the "Industry Leaders Forum," featuring seven of the industry's most influential executives in a unique format moderated by American Gaming Association President and CEO Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr. The participants are:

-- James Allen, CEO, Seminole Gaming

-- Peter M. Carlino, CEO, Penn National Gaming

-- Robert M. Haddock, Chairman, President & CEO, Aztar Corp.

-- Gary Loveman, Chairman, CEO & President, Harrah's Entertainment

-- James J. Murren, President, CFO & Treasurer, MGM Mirage

-- James B. Perry, CEO & President, Trump Entertainment Resorts

-- Keith E. Smith, President & COO, Boyd Gaming
