Exclusive Mayfair Poker Club Applies for Three More Licenses

30 August 2006

LONDON, UK -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Fox Poker Club has made further applications to the Gambling Commission for Certificates of Consent for venues in London and elsewhere in the UK. The Fox Poker Club is therefore now seeking the necessary planning permissions from local authorities.

This makes the total number of four applications lodged with the Gambling Commission by the Fox Poker Club 4. Initially, the original site had been refused the necessary planning to move forward but, the FCP management is considering all the options available to them.

Once the Certificates of Consent are issued, they will be able to apply for casino licenses which will be restricted to offering card room games of equal chance for the venues. Chris North, one of the founders, said: "This is the only legal way we can run a dedicated Poker Club for fellow poker enthusiasts on a sound commercial footing."

In the meantime, The Fox Poker Club website will be re-launched in August and will enable players to pre register for membership ensuring regularly updates on how the applications are proceeding. Coming soon, is a forum and comments page for The Fox Poker Club community to share ideas that they may have for the club.

In addition, an online poker room will run tournaments to qualify for a live game at the Fox Club for the chance of five VIP Life Memberships.

Whilst the applications are being processed, the Fox Club, the Brother club of the FCP, will be open for corporate events.
