Ex-gang boss approved to gamble in Atlantic City

19 January 2011

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- New Jersey regulators have voted to allow a former criminal and gang boss to gamble in Atlantic City, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

Robin Chee will be removed from a list of people banned from Atlantic City casinos, the report said.

Chee was one of the leaders of Ghost Shadows gang, he served time in prison, was rehabilitated and describes himself as a "changed man", The Press of Atlantic City said.

It is rare for the Gaming Commission to remove people from its banned list, the report noted.
