Ex-Barona employee kills manager, then himself

30 December 2009

LAKESIDE, San Diego -- A former Barona Gaming Commission employee shot and killed a commission manager and himself yesterday, Sign on San Diego reported.

Donnell Roberts, a 38-year-old former marine, was fired last month from the commission, Sign on San Diego reported.

Roberts ordered three secretaries to leave and then entered the managers office, where three or four shots were heard, according to Sign on San Diego.

Robert's ex-wife described him as sometimes violent and ""always angry." in the report. Roberts father had committed suicide when he was 10, the report noted.
