Everclear to perform at Rivers Casino in Schenectady

8 February 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- 90’s Alt-rock legends Everclear will be rocking the stage at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center on Saturday, 22 June 2019. Fans will be treated to a dynamic live show, including the bands iconic hits, “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine” and “Wonderful”, along with a full range of Everclear’s past material.

Tickets go on sale Monday, 11 February at 10 a.m. and start at $25. Tickets are available online or the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.

Formed by singer-guitarist Art Alexakis in 1991 in Portland, Oregon, Everclear has enjoyed a lengthy career spanning 11 studio releases, numerous videos, thousands of shows and accolades that include a 1998 Grammy nomination.

A prolific band for more than a quarter-century, Everclear’s most recent release, 2015’s “Black Is The New Black, not only proved the band could still rock, but also that the band remains creatively relevant.

During the show the band will also revisit songs from fan favorite records like “Afterglow,” “Sparkle and Fade” and the double album “Songs From The American Movie”, along with compositions from more underrated collections, like 2012’s “Invisible Stars”.

“There are people asking for songs, so we’ll just try and learn songs as we go,” Alexakis says. “If we get a lot of response from people to play a certain song, we’re going to learn it and go on the road and play it. You don’t think, wow, I can’t sing that high anymore. We’re not going to worry about it. We’re going to play some rock n’ roll, and just do it.”
