European Poker Tour Sochi postponed17 March 2020(PRESS RELEASE) -- In response to the latest guidance from the World Health Organization, local authorities, and working with our partner casino, Casino Sochi, PokerStars have decided to postpone European Poker Tour Sochi, which was due to take place from 20-29 March. PokerStars have hosted European Poker Tour Open Sochi in October for the past two years. We can now confirm, alongside Sochi Casino and Resort, that the event we will hold this October in Sochi will be a European Poker Tour event. It is expected that EPT Sochi will take place from 2-11 October, with the EPT Main Event running from 6-11 October. Players who have qualified online will be contacted in the next 24 hours for assistance. We look forward to seeing players at EPT Sochi later this year. We are deeply disappointed that circumstances have forced us to postpone. However, our priority is the safety and good health of our players during this uncertain time. Due to the nature of the situation, we and our casino partners are reviewing all events on a case by case basis alongside all the latest news and information.
