Eureka Casino Resort properties rally to support fire relief efforts in Maui

14 September 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Eureka Casino Resort properties in Mesquite, Nevada and Seabrook, New Hampshire recently joined forces to raise funds for the American Red Cross' fire relief efforts in Maui, Hawaii. Through innovative events and the spirit of giving, the two properties came together to make a significant impact in aiding the affected communities, donating $30,000.

"The recent fires in Maui have had a devastating impact, and our core values guide us to contribute to these essential efforts and provide relief and assistance,” said Eureka Casino Resort CEO Andre Carrier. “Again and again we have watched our communities come together in times of need and we’re deeply grateful to our guests and employee owners who embraced this cause with open hearts.

“The role of our 100% employee-owned company is often to be a conduit to bring attention to essential needs and then provide innovative ways for people to share their time, talent and treasure. This effort for the people of Maui highlights the strong desire and capability of our community to make a difference."

Eureka Casino Resort in Mesquite hosted a memorable Aloha buffet, featuring an authentic spread of Hawaiian fare, including grilled salmon, poached ahi, and teriyaki shrimp skewers. In lieu of paying for the buffet, every guest pledged $25 and Eureka Casino Resort provided a 100% match of each donation, raising just over $20,000.

Meanwhile, at The Brook in New Hampshire, employees donned aloha shirts, setting the stage for a free concert featuring the talented Hawaiian recording artist and musician, Fia. The Brook provided a 100% match for each donation that was made and also pledged an additional $100 for every attendee, collecting approximately $10,000.

The Brook, recognized as America's largest charity casino, has been a steadfast supporter of local organizations in need since it was acquired by Eureka Casino Resort in 2019, distributing over $13 million to local organizations such as Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie’s Angels, and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheel.
