Erie Casino cutting back horse racing

ERIE, Pennsylvania -- Presque Isle Downs & Casino is slashing its horse racing on Friday and Saturday nights come 2013, Go Erie reported.

Racing will restart on Sunday to Thursday instead, the report said.

The Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission will have to approve this change before it goes ahead, according to Go Erie.

The change is proposed in order to boost competitiveness and profit, the report noted.
