Erie casino crowded on first day of table games

ERIE, Pennsylvania -- Table games have arrived in Erie and so have the players, The Times-News reported.

Presque Isle Downs & Casino offered 48 new table games to customers, along with the Rivers Casino and Meadows Racetrack & Casino, the report said.

Several thousand people turned up at the casino to play the new games, The Times-News said.

The introduction of table games created 500 jobs at the casino, the report noted.

The tables were described on opening day as "90 per cent full", the Times-News reported.
