Epic Gaming tries to submit Kansas bid2 January 2008KANSAS -- As reported by the Dodge City Daily Globe: "Even though it missed the original deadline, a Las Vegas company is still hoping the state will consider its bid for developing Ford County's casino. "The Kansas Lottery Commission did not decide Monday whether to grant Epic Gaming's request for a one-day extension, saying it needed to do more research on whether it can extend a deadline after it has expired. "The commission will consider the question again on Jan. 7. Anyone who has information to share with the panel must submit it by noon Friday. "...Epic Gaming representative Doug Lawrence said the company encountered printing problems in making copies of the application Wednesday afternoon. He said he was on his way to deliver a full set of copies to the Lottery office when he realized it was shortly after 5 p.m. "Lawrence said the application is now in the hands of the Lottery Commission..." |
