Emerald Princess II Casino Cruises implements social distancing17 March 2020Emerald Princess II Casino Cruises in Brunswick, Georgia announced on its Facebook page today that it will implement "stringent social distancing recommendations" due to the COVID-19 outbreak: "Thank you for your continued support and patronage during these unprecedented times. Please be assured that the well-being of our guests and crew members is important to us and we are constantly monitoring the newly announced and more stringent social distancing recommendations by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the White House. While the Emerald Princess has a capacity of 600 passengers, we are limiting our cruises to 200 people to allow our patrons to practice social distancing. In addition, we are already taking the necessary precautions to ensure that we can remain open: - Added a multitude of hand sanitizing stations at entryways, bar tops, stairways, and throughout the casino and dining levels. - Created a core cleaning team dedicated to cleaning high-volume areas including slot machines, table games, door handles, stair rails, tabletops and more. - We have added extra team members for the routine cleanings of the ship and customer contact points before, during, and after each of our cruises. - As always each of our crew members is required to thoroughly wash their hands before returning to their work station. - Employees have been instructed to stay home if they are exhibiting symptoms that are connected with COVID-19. The best preventative measure you can take is a 20-Second Hand Wash." |
