Elite Casino Resorts in Iowa to remain closed temporarily

4 April 2020

Elite Casino Resorts in Iowa announced that its three properties -- Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Iowa City, Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood and Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport, IA will remain closed until 30 April.

Below is the official statement:

Together, we are on an unprecedented journey as we deal with the Covid-19 virus. Your safety and the safety of our employees has been our top priority as we move forward. We wanted you to know that Governor Reynolds extended our casino closure until April 30th.

The impact to employees, their families and our community continues to be serious. Since the start of our voluntary closure, we previously committed to paying our employees average weekly wages and maintain existing employee health benefits. With the closure extension of April 30th, our board generously voted to extend our commitment to pay our employees and provide benefits through this date. Our entire leadership team believes our employees are our greatest asset and we greatly appreciate their hard work and commitment to our company.
