Electronic bingo trial Judge refuses acquittals4 January 2012ALABAMA -- A U.S. District Judge has refused to allow acquittals in the gambling bill bribery case, The Birmingham News reported. The case which is facing a retrial beginning Jan, 30, 2012 centres around vote buying in relation to a gambling bill, the report said. The Judge, Myron H. Thompson, disagreed with the Defense's argument that there was insufficient evidence, The Birmingham News report said. |
