Elderly couple robbed at Florida casino

SUNRISE, Florida -- As reported by CBS4: "Sunrise police are asking for the public's help in finding a couple of men accused of robbing an elderly couple at gunpoint.

"The robbery happened around 2 a.m. on Monday, January 19th, when the couple returned home after a night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. They had just pulled into the driveway of their home in the 9400 block of NW 24th Place when they told police they were approached by two men who threatened them with a gun.

"The couple said the men stole $140 in cash and their credit cards. A short while after the robbery, one of the stolen credit cards was used at a Citgo gas station on Griffin Road in Dania beach. A surveillance video camera inside the store caught both of the robbery suspects on tape.

"One of the men appeared to be a Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years of age, 5'8" to 5'11" and wearing a blue button down short sleeve shirt. The other man was African American, also between 30 to 40 years of age, 5'7" to 5'8" with either a bald or buzz cut shaved head..."
