El Cortez presents November promotions and events31 October 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Join El Cortez Hotel & Casino for its 75th anniversary celebration and other exciting promotions during the month of November. 75th Anniversary Celebration Guests old and new, former employees and all who love the El Cortez Hotel & Casino are invited to celebrate the property's 75th anniversary on Tuesday, 1 November on the casino floor. As Las Vegas' longest continually-run casino, there is a great deal of history to celebrate. Several legendary figures once owned the hotel—from previous owner Bugsy Siegel to beloved casino operator Jackie Gaughan, who owned the casino for decades and lived at the hotel for much of his life. Today, El Cortez is family-owned by the Epstein family and the legacy of the historic hotel continues to live on. Join the party on the casino floor from 4 to 8 p.m., where the anniversary will be celebrated with cake, champagne, live music and remarks from casino executives and Mayor Carolyn Goodman. Winter Wonder Wheel Try your hand at winning up to 500,000 points every Thursday at 7 p.m., 10 November, 2016-30 March, 2017 with the Winter Wonder Wheel. Deposit your virtual tickets in the barrel starting at 8 a.m. Thursdays. Eighteen winners will get to spin the Winter Wonder Wheel for a chance at 500,000 points ($1,000) each.
