Eight Arrested in Albany Gambling Bust10 November 2003ALBANY, New York – As reported by the Associated Press: ``Eight people have been charged with possession of gambling records, accused of running an illegal sports betting operation in the greater Albany area that took in about $20,000 in wagers each weekend day, according to New York State Police. ``The betting on football, baseball, basketball and horse racing was headquartered at the Latham Social Club in suburban Albany and headed by 74-year-old Paul Roth of Niskayuna, police said.
