Eddie Griffin at Spotlight 29

Griffin has been keeping audiences laughing ever since he first stepped on stage, as a dare during an open mic amateur night at a Kansas City-area comedy club. Griffin honed his style and was soon touring nationally with Andrew Dice Clay before settling into recurring gigs at LA's Comic Store.

He became widely popular with TV audiences on HBO's "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam," and was soon making films, including "The Last Boy Scout," "Coneheads," "Jason's Lyric," "Double Take," "Undercover Brother" and both "Deuce Bigalow" films. One of his most recent film projects was 2007's hit comedy "Norbit."

He has also been seen on the small screen in the sitcom "Malcolm and Eddie" and "The Year Without a Santa Claus."
