Echo shares rise on Genting stake

SINGAPORE AND AUSTRALIA -- Genting has acquired an undisclosed stake in Echo Entertainment, Reuters reported.

Echo shares rose 4 percent on the news, the report said.

It's Chairman John Story recently resigned, Reuters noted.
